A little information of why we need original oil filters build to specification of our Scorpio

Motor oil has a number of big jobs:

1. lubricates internal parts
2. helps cool the engine by transferring heat
3. seals piston ring - cylinder bore interface
4. absorbs contaminants
5. suspends wear particles
6. suspends soot that forms as a result of combustion.

Some contaminants go into suspension and some are chemically grabbed by the additives.
Additives constitute up to one-fourth of Motor Oil's makeup by volume.
Acting by itself, oil would eventually become saturated with contaminants and allow the internal parts to wear. That is one reason why we have filters in all modern engines.

Oil filters has a number of jobs also

1. Remove the wear particles suspended in the motor oil
2. Remove the soot that is also suspended in the motor oil
3. Doing the above would increase the life of your motor oil.

Recommended to change at 40k KM but I will change whenever it becomes dirty

Below is a picture of a fully depleted filter at 40k KM. If I were you i will change it at 25k KM
